ADHD Therapy in Leek
& Online UK
When you’re tired of feeling like you’re always trying to catch up with yourself
Maybe you’ve spent the whole day thinking about the one thing you need to do… but still haven’t actually done it.
You’ve replied to three messages in your head, forgotten to reply to them in real life, started tidying one room and somehow ended up doing something completely different.
Then someone asks you to do one more tiny thing and suddenly it’s too much.
ADHD can be frustrating, overwhelming and honestly, bloody exhausting at times.
Especially when you’ve spent years thinking you just need to try harder.
I offer ADHD therapy face-to-face in Leek, Staffordshire and online across the UK, for adults who want to understand themselves rather than constantly feeling like they need to fix themselves.
You Have Found Someone Who Gets It!
I’m an integrative psychotherapist, but I’m also a late-diagnosed ADHDer.
I found out I had ADHD as an adult, so I know what it’s like to suddenly look back at your life and think, Ohhh… so THAT’S why I do that.
And yes, I know the optimism of buying a brand-new planner because this one is definitely going to turn you into an organised person.
But a late diagnosis can bring up much more than that. There can be relief in finally having answers, but also frustration, sadness and the realisation that you’ve spent years blaming yourself for things you didn’t understand.
Therapy gives you somewhere to make sense of that without everything automatically being blamed on ADHD.
Because you’re still a whole person, not a diagnosis.
Does Any of This Sound Familiar?
Maybe you know exactly what you need to do, you’ve thought about doing it all day… and somehow you still can’t start.
You might procrastinate until the pressure kicks in, feel constantly overwhelmed, start five things and finish none of them, struggle to switch your brain off or wonder why everyday life seems to take so much energy.
You might look like you’re coping really well while privately feeling burnt out and frustrated with yourself.
For many women especially, ADHD can go unnoticed for years. You may have been described as anxious, sensitive, disorganised, forgetful or someone who simply needed to “try harder”.
Eventually, those messages can become the way you talk to yourself too.
ADHD Is About More Than Concentration
ADHD can affect motivation, organisation, emotional regulation, impulsivity, time perception and relationships.
Some people also experience rejection sensitive dysphoria (RSD), where rejection, criticism or feeling like you’ve disappointed someone can hit incredibly hard. This can show up as overthinking conversations, people-pleasing, struggling with boundaries or worrying about changes in someone’s tone.
Therapy can help you understand these patterns rather than constantly judging yourself for them.
What ADHD Therapy With Me Looks Like
I’m not going to hand you a complicated colour-coded routine and expect you to magically become a different person by next Tuesday.
We might explore overwhelm, burnout, emotional regulation, executive functioning, RSD, relationships, boundaries, people-pleasing or self-esteem.
Sometimes we’ll talk about ADHD. Sometimes we won’t.
Because not everything is ADHD.
you don’t need to worry about doing therapy ‘properly’. You can lose your train of thought, go off on a completely different tangent, fidget, laugh, swear, or forget what you were saying halfway through saying it. We’ll find our way back.
You Don’t Need a Diagnosis
You might already have an ADHD diagnosis, be waiting for an assessment or simply be wondering whether ADHD could explain some of your experiences.
You don’t need to have it figured out before coming to therapy.
