Frequently Asked Questions
What are the first steps? How often will our sessions be? What will therapy look like? Click on the links below to explore these questions and more.
The first step is simply to get in touch. You’re welcome to book a free introductory call to ask questions and see whether therapy with me feels right for you. There’s no pressure to commit, and no expectation that you know exactly what you want to work on yet.
Most people begin with weekly sessions, as this helps build consistency and support. However, this can be adjusted depending on your needs, availability, and what feels manageable for you. We can review this together as therapy progresses.
There’s no fixed length of time for therapy. Some people come for a short period to focus on a specific issue, while others choose longer-term work to explore deeper patterns or experiences. We’ll regularly check in to make sure therapy is still meeting your needs.
Early sessions are about getting to know you and understanding what’s brought you to therapy. We’ll explore what you’re experiencing now, any relevant background, and what you’re hoping for from therapy. There’s no expectation to share anything you’re not ready to talk about.
Payment details will be discussed when booking. Fees are usually paid in advance of each session, and I’ll provide clear information about how and when to make payment before we begin working together.
Still unsure?
It’s completely normal to have questions or feel uncertain about starting therapy. You don’t need to have everything worked out before getting in touch.
If you’d like to ask anything or see whether therapy with me feels like the right fit, you’re very welcome to reach out.
